Arroyo

This page describes, in plain language, everything Arroyo collects about people who visit it — and everything it deliberately does not.
Arroyo uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how many people use the tool and which parts of it get used — nothing more. This is used to improve the tool and to report usage to the people and organizations who support it.
What GA4 measures on this site:
What it does not do:
GA4 sets a small number of first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<container-id>) to distinguish one visit from another. Arroyo does not set any other cookies, and does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Analytics event data is retained for 2 months, the shortest option GA4 offers — chosen deliberately, because this is a community safety-information project, not a project that needs a long behavioral history of its visitors.
The site is fully usable with analytics blocked. Browser tracking-protection features, ad blockers, or Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on will all prevent analytics from running without breaking anything else on the page.
Google processes this analytics data under its own privacy policy. Arroyo's role is limited to configuring GA4 as described above — it does not build its own separate database of visitor behavior outside of Google's platform.
Arroyo does not currently publish a dedicated contact channel. This section will be updated once one exists.
